Mountain Ecosystems: Reforestation in the Himalayas

by Himalayan Green Conservancy

🌱

About This Initiative

Nepal's Himalayan foothills have suffered significant deforestation, affecting water supply and soil stability. This project plants native tree species across 500 hectares in partnership with local community forest user groups. The restored forest will stabilize slopes, improve water retention, and provide sustainable livelihood through non-timber forest products.

Real-time monitoring data is published on a public blockchain dashboard. The project supports 3,000 farming families in the watershed area.
